Should i stay out of the sun if i'm using a medicine to treat acne?

I'm currently using erythromycin topical solution usp 2% to treat acne, and i just started tanning at a tanning salon. I threw out the paper containing all the information about the medicine and cannot find anything on the internet that tells me whether or not i should be exposed to sun light or tanning beds. If you know about this pleaseee tell me, it would be extremely helpful. thx:]Should i stay out of the sun if i'm using a medicine to treat acne?
Yes. Even though you do not have the information on your medicine, you can bet on it making you more sensitive. You will burn much faster and much worse then normal. Dermatologist will recommend using a very strong sun screen and wearing a hat to cover your face from the sun. I would not use a tanning bed until you have been off of the medicine for at least two weeks. But to make certain, look up the website from the manufacture or call your doctor. Good luck!Should i stay out of the sun if i'm using a medicine to treat acne?
Without having specialize information, I would surmise you can pull information on specific websites: medical, dermatology, even a local medical center near your home would help you with pertinent information.

However, a topical solution for acne seem to have a slight bearing on exposure to a significant amount of sunlight (tanning mechanism). Therefore, I would say to you to locate a concrete answer by searching the web, calling a triage nurse, or calling your local pharmacist regarding your tanning excursion.
Yes, more than not, you should be staying out of the sun. Especially because it can make your skin sensitive, so if your out wear sunblock always.
just be careful in the sun.
