i heard one of my friends said that omnicef helped her treat her acne completely. i'm currently takin a pill of augmentin a day, which anti-biotic pill is the strongest or best to treat moderate acne? should i continue my prescription until it runs out or switch to omnicef?Does anyone know which anti-biotic has to best effect to treat moderate acne?
It's part WHICH antibiotic.... the other part is being diligent about taking it. Tetracycline is a great acne medicine. Anything you take has a certain time period before it gets into your body and begins to do what it's intended to do. You need to give any medication for acne about 1-2 months to see if the condition begins to improve. The tricky part about jumping from one antibiotic to another is that you are risking building a tolerance to them and as we all know you need to take them when your body becomes ill and if you are tolerant that medicine will not help you fight an illness. There are things you can do while you take the medicine too. I had great results from Proactiv. It's down to $20 now!
