I've had a tiny bumps before I got pregnant but when I got pregnant bigger bumps started coming and became stubborn like they don't want to go away. What did you do use to treat them since you can't just use any oral or topical medicine? What did you treat with your acne while you were pregnant?
you can use any facial anti acne cleanser as long as there not harsh. Nothing with peppermint or harsh chemicals but you can see a dermatologist and they can recommend something if you need more than a cleanser. The larger bumps should diminish after you have the baby good luck!

Apply tea tree oil to the area several times each day. Some research indicates that tea tree oil is just as effective as benzoyl peroxide, the number one over-the-counter acne treatment

What is the best way to treat and prevent acne?
Use a bleach/ frozen orange juice concentrate. Mix equal parts bleach and Oj, re-freeze it and then let it thaw. The result is a cream like substance which ends up being twice as strong as an over the counter topical acne medication.
one can make all kinds of medical substances using simple household items... if one were so inclined.
To the female below...
Frozen orange juice concentrate contains high quantities of tricalcium and citrus aurantium. Any of the ingredients of the finished concentrate have been treated by heat to substantially reduce the enzymatic activity and the number of viable microorganisms. Those characteristics of the concentrate also help to reduce the depigmentation affect that bleach has on the human skin.

See a dermatologist. There are lots of prescription creams and face washes out there. My boyfriend used Differin for a while, but you do need a prescription. He also uses panoxyl, which is actually something you don't need a prescription for and can buy at any cvs, walgreens, rite aid, eckerd, etc. I don't have terribly bad acne, but I get very painful pimples/cysts from time to time and always use PersaGel as a spot treatment. Its only about $5, but it really works! Also, both my boyfriend and I use Oxy cleansing pads to clean our faces whenever we go out and before we go to bed. If you are a girl, always wash your makeup off as soon as you get home so that your pores aren't clogged. I use facial masks at least once a week to unclog my pores, also. There is always the Proactiv line of products [the one from the infomercials], but I never used it so can't say much about it. I will put the links of the products my boyfriend and I use:What is the best way to treat and prevent acne?
Apply fresh mint juice every night to treat acne and pimples as this is a good home remedy for acne. More such solutions at http://solutionsforpimples.blogspot.com/

What are some good products to treat acne that actually work and how long do they take?
Pro Active really does work- takes a few week-
Oral antibiotics and topical antibiotics prescribed by Dr only can work in about 3 days or less.
Oral Birth Controls can also reduce acne but again only by a Dr.
If they become big like a boil - just put hot soaks on it a few times a day.
Things to avoid- chocolates, conditioners left over from shampooing hair - stay away from restaurants.
Try to reduce stress. Most importantly Never ever pick at them.

hello guys my niece who is 16 feels uneasy about acnes on her face, can any1 introduce me a safe and effective home remedy to treat her acne? thx in advanceWhats the best home remedy to treat acne?
I never had acne problems, but what always worked for my older sister is steam from boiling water on a stove, placing a towel over head to keep steam on face, this opens pores. sometimes she would mix water with oatmeal and let it dry on her face and then rinse off. She is 43 now and hasn't had an acne problem since high school.Whats the best home remedy to treat acne?
I think that the toothpaste reply is an urban myth. In any case, I have been treating acne for some time now with Silver Cream. In my opinion and after treating the condition on several different skin types over a number of years I believe this to be the best kept secret in acne treatment. The Cream is 100% natural and does not cost much. In fact at the .com web site notaquitter they ship world wide. By the way the toothpaste does do a good job on your teeth.
I used to have an acute case of acne when I was younger for many years; it covered my face, back, chest and posterior. I eventually healed myself without the use of drugs. I cured myself through DIET.
-This is what you should avoid/elminate:
fried foods
White bread/flour
starch combinations during the same meal (e.g. potatoes and pasta)
soda/carbonated drinks
sugar/corn syrup
meat/dairy
soft foods (processed foods)
hydrogenated oils (in processed foods)
-you should increase your intake of:
fruits/vegetables, preferably organic (you should have a salad a day, at the least)
8 glasses of water a day
whole foods
black and/or brown bread (whole grains)
nuts
-you should have a balance, of 80% alkaline forming foods, to 20% acid forming foods. (mostly fruits and vegetables)
-----
Basically, your eliminations are poor/sluggish; thats is why some people can get away with eating badly, but you may not. The reason changing your diet to the foods below will help is because your eating foods that are much easier to digest and elminate than those above.
I would check out Edgar Cayce; without his advice I would probably still suffer today.
He also said you can help yourself through osteopathic adjustments to your spine, he said this can create imbalances in your nervous system (if it isn't in proper adjustment) which will affect everything else. I haven't done this yet, as it is expensive; but I assume when I do, I will be able to better digest the aforementioned foods. Through DIET ALONE I have been cured for a number of years.
Don't believe the people who say it doesn't effect it, I swear to god this will help. It helped me. =) good luck!
Just so others are aware, I'm copy/pasting this to others, so they can get advice, because I have been there. i'm not selling or advertising for anyone or anything, i'm not spamming. don't think that, if you see this advice elsewhere.

Burdock Root as capsules or a tea.
As an herbalist for 24 years, I've never seen a simple remedy work so well for acne in teens. Burdock has traditionally been seen as a ';blood cleanser'; and it works very effectively at enhancing the lymph system's ability to clear toxins and heat from the body.
You can easily find Burdock Root at any well-stocked health food store. If you are adventurous, you can even dig it up out of the yard allot of times. Make sure that she takes a ';therapeutic'; quantity of capsules or tea every day. It will take a few weeks to take effect.
Try mixing some Cayenne pepper sauce, Ajax, and Preparation-H...

Does Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash treat acne well?
So i just bought the neutrogena oil free acne wash (the orange one, the gel cleanser) and i have kind of severe acne... will it treat it and help prevent acne more?Does Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash treat acne well?
It'll only help mild acne... for bad acne, Clearasil is the way to go. I use the daily facial wash every day, and the pore scrub a few times a week. Also, don't forget to moisturize, as most acne is caused by dried out, overwashed skin.
EDIT:
don't get proactiv it sucks.Does Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash treat acne well?
i have the gel cleanser, i've heard really good things about it but they were all on the other one that wasn't a gel. like the liquidy cleanser with the pump.
it dries out your skin but that's how it gets rid of the oils that cause acne. i used to a really long time ago and doesn't exactly remember. it didn't get rid of my acne but it prevented any other acne from coming up. so as your acne goes away by itself no other acne will come up.
you have to be committed to it though and make sure you use a really good lotion on your face.
i used it and yea it definitely decreases the oiliness of the skin, but it is not going to treat acne especially if it is severe. You should go to your dermatologist even though it might cost more this is if you want to treat it.
No, in fact some times can affect your skin more if you want to really clean your face of acne get Proactive it works bets product ever
yes it helps to clear your skin get in better shape but if you have severe acne I have the best acne medicine wait a 15 minutes
It doesn't get rid of acne but it help reduce the redness and oiliness.

it dries out your skin but that's how it gets rid of the oils that cause acne. i used to a really long time ago and doesn't exactly remember. it didn't get rid of my acne but it prevented any other acne from coming up. so as your acne goes away by itself no other acne will come up.
you have to be committed to it though and make sure you use a really good lotion on your face.
i used it and yea it definitely decreases the oiliness of the skin, but it is not going to treat acne especially if it is severe.
Is the brand nitogren...i think i spelled it worng..oh well is that brand bad to treat acne?
Many beauty products on the market have harmful chemicals in them; do your favorite beauty products contain any of these things?:
* Mineral Oil, Paraffin, and Petrolatum – Petroleum products that coat the skin like plastic, clogging pores and creating a build-up of toxins, which in turn accumulate and can lead to dermatologic issues. Slows cellular development, which can cause you to show earlier signs of aging. Suspected cause of cancer. Disruptive of hormonal activity. By the way, when there’s an oil spill in the ocean, don’t they rush to clean it up – fast? Why put that stuff on your skin?
* Parabens – Widely used as preservatives in the cosmetic industry (including moisturizers). An estimated 13,200 cosmetic and skin care products contain parabens. Studies implicate their connection with cancer. They have hormone-disrupting qualities – mimicking estrogen – and interfere with the body’s endocrine system.
* Phenol carbolic acid– Found in many lotions and skin creams. Can cause circulatory collapse, paralysis, convulsions, coma and even death from respiratory failure.
* Propylene glycol – Used as a moisturizer in cosmetics and as a carrier in fragrance oils. Shown to cause dermatitis, kidney or liver abnormalities, and may inhibit skin cell growth or cause skin irritation.
* Acrylamide– Found in many hand and face creams. Linked to mammary tumors in lab research.
* Sodium laurel or lauryl sulfate (SLS), also known as sodium laureth sulfate (SLES)– Found in car washes, engine degreasers, garage floor cleaners… and in over 90% of personal care products! SLS breaks down the skin’s moisture barrier, easily penetrates the skin, and allows other chemicals to easily penetrate. Combined with other chemicals, SLS becomes a “nitrosamine”, a potent class of carcinogen. It can also cause hair loss. SLES is sometimes disguised with the labeling “comes from coconut” or “coconut-derived
* Toluene – Poison! Danger! Harmful or fatal if swallowed! Harmful if inhaled or absorbed through the skin. Made from petroleum or coal tar, and found in most synthetic fragrances. Chronic exposure linked to anemia, lowered blood cell count, liver or kidney damage, and may affect a developing fetus. Butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) contains toluene. Other names may include benzoic and benzyl.
* Dioxane– Found in compounds known as PEG, Polysorbates, Laureth, ethoxylated alcohols. Common in a wide range of personal care products. The compounds are usually contaminated with high concentrations of highly volatile 1,4-dioxane, easily absorbed through the skin.
Dioxane’s carcinogenicity was first reported in 1965 and later confirmed in studies including one from the National Cancer Institute in 1978. Nasal passages and liver are the most vulnerable. Dioxane is easily removed during the manufacturing process by “vacuum stripping”.
Warning: It is a synthetic derivative of coconut. Watch for hidden language on labels, such as “comes from coconut”.
IF SO, you should throw them away IMMEDIATELY and substitute virgin/extra virgin olive oil or natural coconut oil in the meantime until you find a better alternative!!! Tell ALL your friends and family!!!Is the brand nitogren...i think i spelled it worng..oh well is that brand bad to treat acne?

Did you ever try using raw garlic and apply the paste over pimple directly. Stings for a maybe 10-15 minutes but then it's fine.
It almost reduces the pimple and dries it out. You can also consume raw garlic or onion along with food, start in smaller doses and gradually you can go upto 3garlic a day or one large onion a day with food. What is the best stuff to treat pimples, acne and acne spots?
proactive is scam, it just made my acne worse so I wouldn't recommend you to use it. Instead drink a lot of water. also I'm using a cheap remedy which is helping me a lot to remove my face severe acne. I found it from this blog: http://finallyigotridofacne.wordpress.co鈥?/a>
If you do not have severe acne, it's what you should get your hand on!
hope this helps
I use Cetaphil face wash. My derm recommended it, i use it morning and night then put thCetaphilil lotion on afterward.
I also use retin a micro at night after washing my face and then the lotion and another cream in the morning, but those have to be prescribed by a doctor.
Hope this helps.
acne free is good, but if you can, perscription acne stuff with the dermatologist (or if you know anyone who's a doctor...) works like magic. i had a bunch of acne and it cleared it all. i use neutrogena acne on the spot stuff and i love that. toothpaste (not the gel ones) works really well. there are probably a lot of other giood things oput there too.
Here is a natural spot treatment. Apply a paste made of nutmeg powder and raw milk on acne or pimples and wash it off after 20 minutes. Do it for about 10-15 days to see the difference. More such solutions at http://solutionsforpimples.blogspot.com/
I've been on everything including accutane, get proactiv!
moisturize regularly and you will not have anymore acne within weeks

How to treat acne?
I've had acne for a year now. I used to have some blemishes before, but then my doctor subscribed me Evoclin to treat them. Evoclin works sooo well.
But now he does not provide Evoclin for me anymore. And my face is a mess. I tried lots of things. Please helpHow to treat acne?
You have to attack acne where it starts, with your diet. For me, diet was the cause and solution. Topical medications fight the symptoms. Start by eliminating trans fats and eating more fruits and vegetables. Once you start cleaning up the inside of your body, by eating properly, the outside of your body (your skin) will be get cleaned up too. I started a website to document my problem and solution.

You might find it helpful to read my story. Just remember to eat an all natural/organic diet with lots of fruits and vegetables. Stay away from processed foods. Use mild, all natural cleansers and don't pick at your face. Get lots of sleep and enough water for your body weight. Remember, clean body = clean skin. While you're waiting for your skin to clear, remind yourself that acne is a challenge that you will overcome soon. Once you're rid of it, tell all your friends how you did it. That's what I'm doing. God Bless.

Try washing your face with a gentle soap like dove or something. DONT wash your face with a washcloth or scrub it really hard, I did that for a long time not realizing it only made things worse. Dont use really hot water either. This alone helped my face quite a bit. The first dermatologist I went to didnt say anything about it so I didnt know if your doctor told you or not.
If your doctor won't provide you with the proper medicine and refuses to treat your ailment, you need to find a new doctor ASAP.
You can also try calling this doctor and letting him know that you are still having problems and that you want to go back on this medication. If he still refuses, let the office know that you will be finding another doctor (don't threaten until after he refuses).

Best way to treat and prevent acne?
I have tried many ';common cures'; such as toothpaste and witch hazel, to clear up my acne, but nothing seems to work. What can I do to get rid of or reduce current acne, and prevent it in the future.Best way to treat and prevent acne?
Drink lots of water
There are acne medicines (though they do have side effects like depression etc.)
Washing your face twice a day
DO NOT UNNECESSARILY TOUCH YOUR FACE! in fact, never touch your face and try to keep your hair out of your face. At night, iif you have bangs, clip them up/use a hairband. Touching your face/having your hair constantly brushing it will irratate your ace.
Also, if your skin gets oily, use a kleenex to dab (not wipe, pat/dab it!) the oil off your face. Don't be harsh and don't attempt to get rid of all of it, if you use a special oil wipe that gets rid of all the oil, your skin will try to make even more = worse for you
Use sulphur masks once a week. Find a mask with sulphur in it (smells bad, but works) like ProActiv. It will make your skin dry, but that is the consequence to clearing up your skin
Go get a special facial that uses ';EXTRACTION'; it is when they open up your pores with steam, then squeeze out all your blackheads (it hurts really bad) then use a needle to poke your zits then squeeze the pus out of it. It hurts but your skin will be tons better for about 3 weeks.
If you can't find a facial like above, just go to one that will help you with your acne.
Apparently, acne is also caused by mild allergic reactions. If you are completely desperate, go on a one week diet of nothing but white rice. Then slowly add other carbs, then vegetables, then meat products, then dairy. Oftentimes, it is due to an allergic reaction to dairy, but you can find out from the diet.Best way to treat and prevent acne?
Hey
The thing about acne is no one can tell you what to use, because everyone's skin is different.
If you have acne you probably hav oily skin, the best thing to use would be something with salicylic acid, which dries out your skin and helps to prevent acne, but make sure you use a moisturiser, because it will dry out your skin a lot
If you want you could go to a dermatologist, they know more about your skin then most people, and they can recommend products for you.
Also remember to drinks lots of water, and try not to your face, if you have bangs try keeping them off your skin when you sleep. And make sure you wash your face twice a day
And one last thing remember to stay away from greasy food
Good luck with getting rid of your acne

Whats the best way to treat bad acne?
My face wont stop breaking out!Whats the best way to treat bad acne?
I have the same problem...I get spots/pimple clusters and even when they go, they leave reddish marks for ages and my skin looks blotchy and (even though I'm 35), kinda hormonal!
I use clean and clear or neutrogena clear skin - both contain salicylic acid which prevents breakouts and gradually evens the skin tone out too.
Any female with spots I'd recommend trying dianette or yasmin contraceptive pills because if it's hormonal, that can sort out you within weeks!
Also I'd recommend taking a 100% multi vitamin/mineral complex and Omega 369 oils every day because that ensures you're getting the right nutrition and also, the omega oils improve blood flow.
Another suggestion is the scrub you can get called 'resurface' or something from L'oreal. You only use it a couple of times a week (and use at night because it makes your face red!). It really works not just with the colouring but also the texture - smoothes it back out.
And my final suggestion is 'sheer cover' mineral foundation. You see it on infomercials a lot...tacky I know! But it really works. You can buy it on eBay too so it's easy for you to get some to try it out. You use the tiniest amount but because it doesn't settle into enlarged pores and it contains minerals that reflect light, it disguises any kind of 'scarring' and also it stops you getting spots because it doesn't block pores. The minerals in it reflect light a bit too which acts as a kind of concealer. It's hard to explain but it's fantastic. Just make sure not to use too much - and apply with a kabuki brush starting from the outside and working in so you don't end up with an over made up nose!
Hope this helps sweetie - good luck XXWhats the best way to treat bad acne?
Use 100% cotton pillow cases change them frequently. Do not use dryer sheets or fabric softener in your laundry. Do go to the store and buy a bottle of witch hazel and some cotton balls and use it. Wet your skin with it and let it dry. Witch hazel is a plant extract that has been around for more than 100 years. It is found near the rubbing alcohol in the store. It is cheaper and more effective than anything else you will find.

Try this simple remedy. Wash your face twice a day in warm salty water. This should leave your face oil free without aggravating the pimples like soap. The secret of keeping the skin clear is to keep it oil-free and clean. More such solutions at http://usefulinfo-pimples.blogspot.com/

There are many cheap and effective home remedies for acne. Tomato slices, turmeric, papaya juices and home made face packs will treat existing pimples and prevent further problems. More remedies at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/acne.html
Depends, how bad are your acne scars? Are we talking ';deep pit scars that you've had for years'; kind of acne scars?
If it is, the only way you'll have smooth skin again is with cosmetic surgery, either dermabrasion or ablative laser resurfacing. Recovery takes 2 weeks or more, and costs depend on how large an area you need treated. If you go with a trusted %26amp; experienced surgeon, the results can be awesome, like ';baby's butt'; kind of skin.

What can I do to treat acne problems?
Hi,
I have product which i would like to reccomened, now i have tried everything in the UK and USA and no products on the market work, they all seem to give u more spots.. now the product is a chinese herbal liquid, the best thing is that its water based and not a cream so no grease and OK for sensitive skin and the herbal smell disapears after a few seconds. I have been using it for about 1 month and I havn't had a single spot since and scars from previous spots have nearly disapeared. the product is really good and i would recommend it to anyone, my mum say's my skin has gone so clear it looks like im using foundation (no im a guy and i dont do makeup). alot of people in my family and also my friends have started using it because for a guy whos face was one big spot and now so clear.. The product is called '101E' and can be found on ebay, well thats where i got it from... and i found it to be cheaper than some high street products that dont work..
kool ;)
What the skin needs is a product that clears pores and kills bacteria, thus preventing hair follicles from clogging and turning into acne. This is what you should be looking for if you want to get rid of those ugly acne.
Before trying any treatment, I suggest you read this informational source that listed the most effective acne treatments available:
http://www.17acnetreatments.com
Hope this helps :-)
Have you gone to a dermatologist? Maybe an antibiotic like minicycline or something as strong as acutane. You need to go to a Dr. who is aggressive with acne. Otherwise you will end up with a topical cream that won't work in the long run.

To treat acne without using birth control pills?
is there another way to treat acne without using bcp's? like a different pill or somethingTo treat acne without using birth control pills?
i've never tried it, but i've heard rubbing alcohol works really wellTo treat acne without using birth control pills?
There are tons of ways to clear up acne not just BC (and it never did anything to clear up my skin, made my boobs bigger though). If you've already tried and failed at most over the counter stuff (Clearasil, proactive, etc etc) then it's probably time you hit the dermatologist. She can recommend different Rxs that may help or put you on something stronger.
You can wash your face with warm water every morning and night. What I do is use this cream called ''Artistry'' it is a skin company if you are not familiar with it you can look it up online. It is also proven that Artistry works better than Proactive.
--Good luck--- =)
You could always soak your face in warm water with half of lemon juice and 10-15 minutes each day

There are many causes of acne. Some are diet related, some hormonal, some bacterial. However, all will respond to a healthy diet and vitamin supplements. Try to cut out dairy products, sugar, cakes, biscuits, chocolate, fried foods such as chips and pizza, and to eat a lot of vegetables, salad, fresh fruit, organic, free-range chicken, lamb and fish (if you like it). Taking a supplement of zinc, Vitamin C, Vitamin A, and Vitamin E is proven to help.

Does anyone know which anti-biotic has to best effect to treat moderate acne?
i heard one of my friends said that omnicef helped her treat her acne completely. i'm currently takin a pill of augmentin a day, which anti-biotic pill is the strongest or best to treat moderate acne? should i continue my prescription until it runs out or switch to omnicef?Does anyone know which anti-biotic has to best effect to treat moderate acne?
It's part WHICH antibiotic.... the other part is being diligent about taking it. Tetracycline is a great acne medicine. Anything you take has a certain time period before it gets into your body and begins to do what it's intended to do. You need to give any medication for acne about 1-2 months to see if the condition begins to improve. The tricky part about jumping from one antibiotic to another is that you are risking building a tolerance to them and as we all know you need to take them when your body becomes ill and if you are tolerant that medicine will not help you fight an illness. There are things you can do while you take the medicine too. I had great results from Proactiv. It's down to $20 now!

How to treat Acne bumps?
I had clear skin before but when I turned 18, I had acne all over my face and my back. Two years have past and they're almost gone. But it left me with bumps and it looks like it has been there for almost two years.
From afar my skin looks O.K. but if you look at my face closely it doesn't look good at all. And they're even more visible if the light falls on my face.
I have been using Loreal Purezone products and since then I had less acne and pimples on my face. But the bumps won't go away! Some blends with my skin tone and some are reddish in color. I am fearing that they would be permanent. What should I do? Should I get a facial or skin peel? Please Help Me!!!:(How to treat Acne bumps?

as a fellow sufferer i would recommend seeing a doctor he can give you advice on antibiotics and other treatments. the best products for scarring are clinique and neutogena products.
Microdermabraison facials can work but they can irritate the skin, for best results i would recommend going to an experience plastic surgeon not a beauty salon.
Chemical peels are effective but they can cause red marks which can be premanent.
best to talk to a surgeon/doctor
hope this helps

If you鈥檙e looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne鈥?prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symptoms and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.
For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it鈥檚 advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.
Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.

You could have either, White heads Embedded, cystic acne, If so, please see a Dermatologist. If you're reddish/purple coloured ones are not painful, than those could be in the healing mode,( it can take a long time to heal after a severe problem) of you already might have some scarring, if so, special procedures like, dermal braison or liquid acid treatments, can reduce such.
Don't despair but at least have a professional diagnose you're problem before you're trying to many remedies, it could make things worse!
While many focus upon the biological or medicinal side of
acne, there are many researchers who are trying to see if
there might be a natural cure to this disease; a disease
which effects so many people.
One commonality that these researchers are finding is that
acne, although genetically passed on, can be controlled
with diet. Some scientists may disagree, but we've all
heard the old adage, ';what you put in is what you get out';.
This may be true with acne; even in it's most severe forms.
First and foremost, obesity has been thought as a major
factor contributing to acne. With an obese person, there is
an increased activity in the glands of the body, and this
includes the glands below hair follicles, which produce
oil. Losing weight and exercising each and every day may
help immensely. This requires no drugs, just self-control
and willpower.
Diet is another major concern for naturalists striving for
a cure. They are finding that a diet rich in vegetable and
fruit helps significantly balance hormones that effect
glands. Vegetables and fruit help keep the body in
homeostasis, or in balance.
The intake of fatty foods, such as Trans Fats, or those
made from animal products (milk based products, i.e.
margarine and even vegetable oils), also increases gland
activity in the body. There is a type of oil; however, that
may be good at fighting against acne.
Omega-3 oils, commonly found in fish and sea animals, is
natural oil that is good for the body, especially for the
skin. Other foods that contain oils, sugars, caffeine,
carbonization and heavy amounts of salts, should be avoided
at all costs for sufferers of acne.
Zinc, a mineral gaining much popularity in the natural
world for its medicinal qualities, helps fight the clogging
of pores that leads to acne. In the form of gluconate or
sulfate, it helps the skin heal blemishes and helps to
balance hormonal activity.
Zinc has recently been found to be as effective as
prescription strength tetracycline. Other vitamins,
including vitamin A and B6 may help substantially in
hormonal balance, resulting in clearer, healthier skin.
In any case, the positive effects seen from the uses of
natural medications and a proper diet cannot be ignored.
Even when compared to synthetic treatment options, natural
healing with vitamins and minerals may help even the most
severe cases.
Dont forget the importance of a balanced diet and a full nights sleep! It will definitly help your body heal. Try it for a week, i promise you'll notice a difference!

How to treat different types of acne scars?
Okay.
My boyfriend has acne scars on his back and chest really bad. I don't mind them, but they make him feel self conscious. What are some really good methods of treating them? How to treat different types of acne scars?
I always use Neutrogena Acne Mark Fading Peel. When I have scars, I use the product on my scars everyday because I get self conscious when I have scars too. I usually see results on each scar within a week, but it always depends on how bad the scars are.
You can find it at Wal Mart and Target or any place with acne products. If you want to read or see it you can find it on drugstore.com.How to treat different types of acne scars?

Does anyone know how young you can treat children's acne?
My 8 yr old has developed mild acne on his face and upper arms. Washing does not make it go away. Any suggestions?Does anyone know how young you can treat children's acne?
Poor little guy. I also developed acne at an early age. Try washing his face and upper arms with a cleanser containing salicylic acid. Then apply a thin layer of persa gel 10. You can get it at the drugstore. It has benzoyl peroxide, a proven acne fighting ingredient. If that doesn't help I would take him to the doctor. Acne can be devastating to a child's esteem.Does anyone know how young you can treat children's acne?
a dermatologist is what you need, at that age... id have to say its not an issue of washing him and that its much more then just his skin.
I use ProActive. Expensive, yes but works great!
Yes, a Doctor sounds like a good idea. Doctor first, but in my personal experience, medication can often make it worse, I had clean skin when I only used regular bath soap.
He may be allergic to something. See a dermatologist for the best results

Is it advisable if im going to use tea tree oil and castor oil to treat acne at the same time?
No, the chemicals that contains in tea tree oil %26amp; castor oil are very different. So by using them at the same time, you are also mixing them together, which causes chemical changes, thus changing their properties and this may cause unknown allergic reaction or irritation to the skin instead of treating the acne.Is it advisable if im going to use tea tree oil and castor oil to treat acne at the same time?
I wouldn't use them at the same time. I have experienced that using to many products at the same time tends to break your face out even more

How can I treat what looks like acne on an English Bulldog puppy?
We have a 13 week old English Bulldog. She keeps getting what looks like acne on her face, belly, and back. She now has very large ones on each eye lid and this morning one was bleeding a small amount. I plan on consulting her vet but was curious as to what this could be and if there is something I can do at home to help. How can I treat what looks like acne on an English Bulldog puppy?
Sounds like a staph infection or an allergy to me. If its a staph infection she'll need an antibiotic. I would recommend changing your feed and water pans(if your using plastic or an old kitchen pot with Teflon) Stainless steel is the best. Or she may be allergic to the shampoo you are using on her. I recommend Oatmeal shampoo, it's mild and calming.
Is she itching? (That's probably why she was bleeding) You can get Hydrocortisone spray at wal-mart or local pet supply store for around $5. That will give her some relief until you can get her to see the vet. (If it was my pup I would also give her a bath with an antibacterial shampoo once a day for 5-7 days to heal sores.) Hope that helps. How can I treat what looks like acne on an English Bulldog puppy?
My dog had pimples on her lower stomach, and I found out she had allergies to her food. I changed her food to a more high-quality dog food, and they cleared up. The vet did have to prescribe medication initially. She also has seasonal allergies in the summertime, and she develops a rash and ';pimples'; on her belly. The vet gave me ';Genesis'; to use when I first see them, and they go away. If it gets bad, though, they will need to put her on antibiotics. I hope that it's not allergies because allergies have been such a headache for me, but is a possibility. If there is puss in them, then I think the vet definitely needs to see her.
My dog had something similar, but just her mouth. My docter said it's hard to explain, but if you had to put a name onto it it would be : Mumps. She prescrbied a animal/human medicine that worked perfect for my dog Bella, and its funny because, my dog got sick with that at about 11 or 12 weeks. It's because she didn't get enough milk from her mother, see the vet, they'll help. Good luck!
Wow, sounds really bad. You should get medical attention ASAP.
Considering the locations, I have to suspect environmental allergy. Also, acne on the face is commonly caused by using plastic food bowls. Definitely use stainless steel bowls, and consult the vet about allergy testing.
Diet can also play a big part in allergy problems, although this usually is manifested in the dog chewing on their feet and other parts of their bodies a lot. A good quality food with no corn, wheat, or soy would be a great step up if you're not already using one.

How to treat Acne Blemishes?
I was looking for some type of information on the treatment of acne blemishes specifically on the face. I would also like to know what are the best products out there known to treat blemishes as well as acne. How to treat Acne Blemishes?
I've been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne/pimples temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it's at.
I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.
I'm 29 years old and have been suffering from these little pests since I was a teenager. I tried all sorts of face washes from the local grocery store and what not, but nothing seemed to work. If anything it would just make my skin dry and itchy.
Literally the best acne face wash I've ever used has been this stuff called clearpores. It has got rid of the acne to quickest and has been a success ever since I got it. It's unique cause of it's herbal supplement you take a long with it that helps your skin from the inside out. I saved money on it at skincleansingsystem.com at the time which was helpful.
You should really look into this stuff and if you can to assure the best results, get the 3 month supply because if it doesn't work it will still save you butt on the return policy.
Well good luck and best wishes.

I have a friend that just designed a laser therapy device. It has been tested and works great for clearing acne and wrinkles. Their company is starting to market and sell them in a few weeks. I do not have their website handy but could re-post it when I get it if your thread is still open.
Also, try the online resources for more info, I like http://skinvotes.comBest and fastest ways to treat acne?
My cousin tried proactiv and it never worked as well as the other product he's trying now - Differin. The site is http://www.differin.com, but I think you need to see your dermatologist first to have it prescribed.
There is this new popular cream that people have been talking about.
It was even televised on TV.
It prevents future and existing acne, diminishes scars, and lightens skin and blemishes. Fast results too! (It's been claimed that major results can be seen within a week and no later than two weeks)

This person is providing 1-3 week trial samples (Only for ONE DOLLAR.. definitely a deal) on ebay at:
Search up ';Cee En's Acne Solution'; or ';best acne solution ever'; on ebay.
First 100 customers can get the item for $1 for one week trial and up to 3 weeks. Or you can purchase 1 month supply for $40 or 6 month supply for $160
It's expensive, but the product DOES work.
My sister and cousin who both have major acne have tried the product and they both give it thumbs up. I have also heard many great feedbacks about this cream.
I don't have a problem with acne, but it seems to have great results on my sister who has moderate to severe acne. Her acne swelling went away overnight.
I hope this helps. =)

Which works better to treat acne: Neutrogena Complete acne therapy system or Clean and Clear Acne control kit?
Different acne treatments work differently for different people ;-)
I did some research and talked to my doctor to find the most common causes of acne.
鈥?Hormones: The number one cause of acne is the production of sex hormones, known as androgen, that begins at puberty. This is why majority of acne sufferers are adolescents and teens. Hormones are responsible for then acne flare-ups during menstruation and pregnancy.
鈥?When the sebaceous gland is stimulated by androgens, it produces extra sebum. In its journey up the follicle toward the surface, the sebum mixes with common skin bacteria and dead skin cells that have been shed from the lining of the follicle. While this process is normal, the presence of extra sebum in the follicle increases the chances of clogging 鈥?and acne.
鈥?Stress: can also cause the production of hormones, such as cortisol, which can aggravate acne. Stress brings upon different hormone levels. With hormone changes the body prompts the skins oil glands to enlarge, secreting more oil. Which causes white heads, black heads and pimples.
鈥?Oily or heavy make up: Heavy make-up clogs the pores and oily make-ups add more oil, which only adds to the problem if oily skin already exists. Cosmetics, especially certain moisturizers, foundations and pomades contain lanolin, petrolatum, vegetable oils, butyl stearate, lauryl alcohol and oleic acid.
鈥?Certain medications and steroids: Vitamins are good for your body, But an excess of vitamins B1, B6 and B12 can cause acne flare-ups. These vitamins are good for the skin, but avoid overuse.
鈥?Diets: For some people, a diet that is high in refined carbohydrates and sugars can actually aggravate their acne.
鈥?Over abrasive cleansing: Harsh exfoliators can damage skin and spread infections.
鈥?Picking and squeezing: This can actually send the infection deeper into the skin and can cause scarring.
鈥?Environmental irritants: such as high humidity and pollution. High humidity actually causes swelling of skin. Pollution is of course is a big cause for clogging your pores.
鈥?Genes: Family members who are also acne sufferers. Acne is inherited and severe cases known as cystic acne usually come from heredity.
And..,
What the skin needs is a product that clears pores and kills bacteria, thus preventing hair follicles from clogging and turning into acne. This is what you should be looking for if you want to get rid of those ugly acne.
Before trying any treatment, I suggest you read this informational source that listed the most effective acne treatments available:

Add some honey to make enough paste to cover the inflammed area completely. Just lie down as honey may dribble down. Wait for 10 to 15 minutes and wash with luke warm water.

What is the best way to treat acne?
l'm 16 and I just recently started breaking out , and i don't like touching my face because i'm afraid of getting acne scars, but apparently this acne is not going to go away unless i do something, what should I do ? =/ What is the best way to treat acne?
don't spend money on acne creams and things like that. they are all hoaxes. The best way to get rid of acne is to wash your face with the coldest water that you can stand, then with the cold water, wash your face with soap, then rinse your face with warm water. Cold water opens pours so you can clean them really good, warm water closes them.
Good luck fixing the problem

Can Pyoben gel being used to Treat Feline acne on my cat s chin, turn his skin brown?
Pyoben Gel is a gel for cats, that contains benzoyl PeroxideCan Pyoben gel being used to Treat Feline acne on my cat s chin, turn his skin brown?
THE dish thing can be a cause but... My cat had acne for 6 months while we were in the process of moving and living in a rental till the place was finished so it could be stressed involved, you need to keep it clean mainly and keep cat from being stressed!! I wouldn't use that if you use anything I was OK'd to use a tiny tiny bit of neosporine to kill the germs but only a little after it was clean too much and it can make it soggy and it wont heal.. so clean it well with some cat shampoo and warm cloth rinse well!! GOOD LUCKCan Pyoben gel being used to Treat Feline acne on my cat s chin, turn his skin brown?
I dont know the answer to that. But let me ask, do you use a plastic food dish? If so, switch to metal or ceramic because that could be the problem.blushed

Everyone's skin reacts differently to different products (look at proactive, some people hate it some say it's a miracle), you just need to try them out and see which one works best for you.

What are some oral antibiotics that treat acne?
Tetracycline
Minocycline
Doxycycline
Clindamycin
Erythromycin- I have used this one both in pill form and topically via facial pads and it did nothing for me.What are some oral antibiotics that treat acne?
My dermatologist prescribed Benzamycin to me a few years ago. It was a pill that I took in the morning and a face cream that I put on at night. It seemed to really help me for a long time, but it did get kind of expensive because we did not have insurance at the time. What are some oral antibiotics that treat acne?
Accutain is a very common drug used for acne, there are many other antibiotics used for this but i don't know what they are. Accutain is a very strong drug that needs to be monitored by your doctor while on it. Many possible side effects. YOU MUST NOT GET PREGNANT WHILE ON THIS IT WILL CAUSE BIRTH DEFECTS. If you follow directions it's good and it works.
rub beer on your face...
seriously????
antibiotics are to be taken a maximum of two weeks (15 capsules) or else you're body defense will increase and when the time you're sick or ill, medicines will not take effect anymore bcoz ur immunity to meds are high due to overuse of antibiotics...
iam a guy i know... but but but....
believe me.. let me suggest ';pills';... i dunno how gurls call them but its the hormone thing that when men took it, he's going to grow some boobs..lol. yeah that's it.. is safe and you wont get pregnant too.. lol
advanced merry christmas to you and your family
It's been years since I've had to deal with 'pizza face'. Several of my friends were prescribed tetracycline for more radical cases. I have no idea what they prescribe today, but a proper answer is definitely what the doctors are for.
Look for oral antibiotics that target the soft tissues like macrolides ex. Onzayt. But Diane(which is not an antibiotic but affects hormones) are also good when I had acne once. But the label has a breast cancer warning I think.

What's the best cream to treat teenage acne? Also, any diet tips to help it, please?
Loads of creams out there - do you know one that works? She's 13 and it's just starting. What's the best cream to treat teenage acne? Also, any diet tips to help it, please?
Do not use cream that has no medical properties. It will be worst as it generates oil. Teenager like you should wash you face with foam soap regularly. Eat less oily and fried food and drink plenty of water and fruit juice. Regular exercise will peers will be useful. What's the best cream to treat teenage acne? Also, any diet tips to help it, please?
as well the other answers try getting more zinc in your diet as this can help with skin problems, either take a supplement or eat more zinc rich foods
Sudocream - honestly it works miracles - wash, apply over area in morning and see the difference in a week...keep going and you'll clear up completely...i feel your pain...its the best...trust me i've tried all sorts...and its cheap.
I would suggest the Clean and Clear range but also drinking lots of water each day (2litres) and reduce the about of oil in her diet. Things like vegetable oil and butter should be reduced.
There's lots of products at your pharmacy, but I used to use Clearasyl (an old product that works well). Keep away from chocolates and ';too much'; carbs, and greasy foods. Most people outgrow acne. My sister had bad acne but it was because she was alergic to a specific food she was eating. Check that out, maybe your daughter just is alergic to something. Mud packs (facials) are good for acne.
Don't waste time and money trying to get rid of it yourself. Go see a Skin Specialist.
my sister used it it helped her http://sratim.solution72.hop.clickbank.net/
I use retin-A but you can find some useful info on this site.

I found some good info here.
Well I was lucky, I never really had acne very bad. My friend did though. What she did was she would make sure and change her pillowcase every other night. Pillowcase gets oil and all kinds of stuff on it and laying on it doesn't help at all.
There's a thousand recipes out there about how to cure acne etc, the best thing I've seen is what my buddies niece uses, proactive or whatever it is called. Jessica Simpson does the infomercials for it.
I cant help you on creams but to stop future problems try Clinique products, exfoliator, facial wash and toner. 3 step program which really works
As a qualified Herbalist I would recommend a tea made from nettles (Urticaria dioica). This will help flush out the toxins that cause acne. Eating plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables will also help.
She needs to stay off things that will trigger acne Sugar and Chocolate are the WORST causes and so are food additives like E-numbers and such like.
for the acne use Clean %26amp; Clear - PERSA-GEL works for me
Although they say chocolate and caffeine do NOT cause acne, I suffer from breakouts after having chocolate. I've tried every single cream, lotion, medicated pads, face cleansers, soap/no soap and at age 35 finally tried the ProActive solution for combo skin. And it worked! It's recommended twice a day but I found that my skin still dried out some which caused it to oil up more when I used the cleanser, toner and lotion so I used the cleanser twice a day and the lotion in the moring and toner at night. Little expensive but so worth it! And initially your 13 year old may see a worsening but that's the acne that is already developing. My face instantly showed an improvement in one week. I recommend it to anyone who asks!!!
I loved the clean and clear range when i was a teen cos it's really gentle on the skin - some of the others can be too harsh and end up causing an over production of oil and worsen the problem. Also encourage lots of water and fruit as these can help the skin to more efficiently get rid of impurities and lessen the number of spots/blemishes. Zinc is a fantastic supplement to take as it aids healing and cell regeneration - it's also a fantastic immune booster which further helps the acne problem. Most of all, keep telling her she's beautiful, cos she is and no-one will notice the acne if she keeps her head high and her smile switched on! Good luck!!!

One thing, how long have you had them? Because depending on how long you have had them, they may not be scars, they may be hyper pigmentation, which looks like a scar but it should fade away after the pimple is gone after a few weeks, maybe a month. But if it is a scar, try proactivs skin lightening stuff, or a scar lighten from london drug or something like that

How can I stop my acne or treat it?
I am 17 and all of my life I have had fairly clear skin and only breaking out when it was around my period, but now I have been getting a lot of acne, and I don't know why or what to do. I have recently switched to a different face cleanser just to try something different....should i switch back? I have also been exercising more, could that affect it? Is there anything that I can do with my diet (like foods to prevent breakouts)? Thanks! How can I stop my acne or treat it?
Good diet.
Avoid dairy(milk and milk products), red meat(includes beef, pork, lamb meat or anyother form of red meat)
No alcohol, no drugs, no smoking.
Eat fish and chicken in moderation, should be boiled though or roasted without oil.
Drink lukewarm water with one lemon squeezed in it on an empty stomach every morning.Dont eat / drink anything else for an hour.
An hour later eat apples (2-3). Wait for another 30-60 minutes and resume your day.
Avoid refined carbs (white bread, pizza, white super polished rice) though you can eat whole grain bread.
Eat more green leafy vegetables.
Eat apples, guavas, oranges or sweetlimes, more sources of zinc, vitamin C and fibre.
Drink 15-20 glasses of water everyday
Early to bed and early to rise. Good sleep of 8-9hours.
Dont sleep on your face, keep the hair off your face as well any time of day.
Working out may give chin acne, as sometimes it causes hormonal fluctuation. So exercise in moderation for example slow running or slow cycling or swimming is good something that wouldn't cause you to pant.
Good luck. How can I stop my acne or treat it?
Yes, switch back, if the outburst started when you switched cleansers. If the two events are unrelated, try a more medicated treatment like Proctiv. My friend uses that and it really does work.

ammmmber*!, I started having really bad acne problems starting when I was 18. I had acne on my shoulders that was really embarrasing. I tried Proactiv, Zyporex, and even the Asso Gold Cleaning Bar with limited results. I wound up visitng a local dermatologist. After 3 months almost all of my acne cleared up. I recommed you try differnent products until you find one that works for your body type. http://www.americaschoicetoday.com/Acne.html

How do you remove blackheads and treat and prevent acne?
HELP!!! I need to have no blackheads, no acne, perfect skin in two weeks, I'M DESPERATE!How do you remove blackheads and treat and prevent acne?
the best thing to do would be to buy ProActive and use it 2x a day for the next 2 weeeks and beyond as it will prevent future acne...it will def clear up the blackheads in a matter of days...and the rest will go tooo!!! I have the same problem and finally decided to buy it (again) and it truly does work the trick is doing it everyday!! Good luck as I know what it is like :) My face was eroded 2 weeks ago and now I have maybe 4 pimples on my face which are barely noticable....How do you remove blackheads and treat and prevent acne?
Go get a microdermabrasion.
It totally sucks up and remove whiteheads, blacks and all pending acne.
It's fantastic.
I used to use that cosmetic products for acne, but i didn't get good results. i think that the best thing to do it's to go to a dermatologist so he can tell you the best treatment for your skin, because all skins have different characteristics.

see a dermatologist, wash your face 2-3 times a day with anti bacterial face soap, leave it on for one or two minutes
If you鈥檙e looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne鈥?prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause.
Oh, by the way the site that helped me is: http://www.acne-treatment-medicine-1.inf鈥?/a>
Wash face with antibacterial liquid soap, foam up face with warm water, then rinse with hot to open and cleanse pores, then rinse with cold water to close up pores.
Afterwards put aloe vera on face to keep it clear.
U will see a difference immediately.

Some times its better to rely on home based remedies for skin ,acne and hair problems. Try this link it sure did help me so here goes,

good luck
i have tried EVERYTHING over the counter, followed directions exactly, and am still struggling with it. the only thing left for me to do is see a doctor, so i would have to say that from experience, sometimes professional help is the only thing that works.
Any dermatologist would recommend not touching them. Keep your skin clean and dry. Your doctor can prescribe various medications. A mild drug that often works is Minocycline (an antibiotic). Another, strong but potentially dangerous medication is Accutane (a very strong drug that cannot be used in potentially pregnant women, causes severe drying of the skin and is liver toxic so enzymes must be check monthly). Mostly acne is caused by hormones and will get better with age.

Oh, by the way the site that helped me is: http://www.acne-treatment-medicine-1.inf鈥?/a>
Wash face with antibacterial liquid soap, foam up face with warm water, then rinse with hot to open and cleanse pores, then rinse with cold water to close up pores.
Afterwards put aloe vera on face to keep it clear.

i have tried EVERYTHING over the counter, followed directions exactly, and am still struggling with it. the only thing left for me to do is see a doctor, so i would have to say that from experience, sometimes professional help is the only thing that works.

How do I treat bad acne quickly without Proactive?
NO PROACTIVE! I tried it, and my skin got itchy and dried it out. I'm only 12, yet I have bad acne. I have tons of blackheads in my nose, and there is a zit growing in between my eyebrows, on my chin, and a little one underneath my nose that hurts a tiny bit. My dad had really bad acne when he was a kid and always popped them, so it was hereditary and now my sister and I have it. I want something that will work, and KEEP on working. but i DO NOT want things like icolytome-whatever, cuz i dont have time or the resources to get things like that. I need brands and advice. Also, after I wash my face, i can see all these little yellow dry things on my cheeks, chin, and around my mouth, so how do i prevent that as well? i have cocoa butter, thatll work right? How do I treat bad acne quickly without Proactive?
I have had acne my whole life, treated with everything including accutane, with all the dry itchiness you are describing. i am 32 now. go immediately to www.acne.org. the advice and lists here are unbelievable. i ordered the 2.5% benzoyl peroxide gel. it is much milder than any bp that you can get in the store. neutrogena onthe spot is 2.5% but still made my face SO dry and itchy, made me touch my face more. If you buy it you will not be disappointed. I would skip the cocoa butter (as most formulas will clog the pores). I use nothing on my body that doesn't say ';non-comeodegenic';. This means it won't clog pores. Be careful with all products b/c they will get on your face even if you think they won't.How do I treat bad acne quickly without Proactive?
