Try supplements that are good for the skin, get lots of rest and avoid eating junk foods as they are not skin healthy often. It is important to drink alot of liquids to flush out the body of impurities. IF you are looking for a good skin care product either something with benzyol peroxide (spelling?) or salicylic acid in them depending on if your skin is sensitive to use either of those items.
Do NOT over wash the fash as doing so makes it produce more oil. It is fine to wash it with OIL FREE products once or twice a day. It is best to take a vitamin mix that is for skin, hair and nails. Those vitamins work well in this and avoid foods like Milk as they have been known to be bad for the pores. IF you want calcium in the diet as they say milk gives, drink Orange Juice. An over the counter oil free facial mask once or twice a week can help. DO not use more than one skin care product together.Whats a real good way to treat acne, i have tried tons of products?
wash your face and ALWAYS put moisturizer on afterwards. It helps a lot! Proactiv is a good system...or anything like that with different steps (Wash, toner, lotion). There is more to it then just washingWhats a real good way to treat acne, i have tried tons of products?
Laser treatment at your local thearpist.
Neutrogena Visibly clear is really good. I use the Daily Exfoliating Wash and the Moisturiser. Also make sure any foundation or make up you use is oil free, so it wont clog the pores :-)
First of all, no one has flawless skin. Some people have it better than others, but thats just genes and stuff. Go to www.freewebs .com/reelbeauty11 for skin and beauty tips. I know its for young girls, but it works for anyone!
I know some people who have tried ProActive and it worked, but I also know some others who have tried it and it made it worse :( I know some who have put rubbing alchol on their skin or peroxcide to dry up the pimples. It also kills bacteria :) . Also, try going to a dermotoligist, or ask your regular doctor. Often times the regular doctor, who knows more about your med. history and whatnot can help you more than a dermatologist.
are you a vegetarian? That might have something to do with it. Its worth checking into.
Try dabbing toothpaste or honey on your zits before you go to bed - works wonders.
Overall, remember that beauty counts more on the inside than on the outside, and your true friends will love you for you, and not your skin.
Oh, and try a different kind of foundation, if you wear it. Try to use a kind with lots of water in it. It looks great and doesn't clog pores half as bad. And check your habits - do you prop your chin up a lot with your hands? That might cause the acne as well. Look for the cause, as well as the cure.
wash your face with nutrigena soap twice daily. use toner afterwards. or you could get proactive that works as well. do not leave makeup on over night...
I use Kohl's line of skin products for Acne.
It's got a healthy level of salicylic acid in it, and you'll feel the difference in your skin after just one use, it's amazing. You just feel very clean.
I reccomend buying the foaming face wash and the toner.
Thoroughly wet your face with warm water, then lather with the face wash, massage it in for about 1-2 minutes, then rinse thoroughly..pat dry, never rub.
If needed, use a bit of exfoliater on your t-zone..massage that in as well, and rinse thoroughly again. Pat dry.
Using a clean cottonball, dab on your toner. Once again, you should NEVER rub, this causes the germs/oils etc to spread on your face instead of targeting one sole area. Always concentrate on your T-zone cause this is what gets the most oily. This process does sting slightly.
Once done, rub in a small amount of moisturizer all over your face. Be careful not to use too much..
The whole process should be done once every 2-3 days.
Washing your face too much increases oils, and is very harsh on your skin!
Also, a really good spot treatment is toothpaste! Dab some on your blemishes before bed time. Toothpaste aids in drying out blemishes, just make sure you rinse it off before you go anywhere!
Avoid eating chocolate and other junk foods, and drink plenty of clear fluids, especially water! Are you getting your 8 glasses a day?
You've tried tons of products, they're all the same and don't work. Yet the information in one article will show you exactly how to make your acne go away.

I know it's almost over used now, but Proactiv really does work. I would try it out.
Another option comes from a really great label that I always use. Biore's products really are amazing, and keep my skin in excellent condition. I personally use 'Biore Pore Unclogging Scrub' every night, but recently I saw an add in a magazine for some new proven Biore products that look good, and I might try out. Here's a link to the site with the new proven products I was looking at. Try it!

I use Proactive and it works great! I have seen a major improvement in my skin. One thing I have had to teach myself to do especially at work is to not touch my face, this was really hard for me but I think i'm almost trained!
have you ever tried biore!
Caucasian Kefir, a natural, God given, pro-biotic drink (which you ferment yourself with the Kefir culture grain in milk, so it's dirt cheap!!) to fix skin problems and many many more ailments from the inside out. It will treat acne much faster than Roaccutane, and has no known side effects, you can't beat nature!!! Search the internet for ';Caucasian Kefir.'; Some people give it away free if you can't find it free search at ebay or other online sites that sell it.
Here is a testimonial Posted: Sat Dec 01, 2007 5:03 am Post subject: Acne gone in three weeks, wow!!
I'm 49 years old and developed acne in my early 40's. My son had acne as a teenager and went on roaccutane (horrific drug). It cured his acne, but I certainly wouldn't recommend it. My daughter had serious cystic acne and wanted to go on roaccutane as well recently, which I was very much against, but she is 20 years old and has suffered for years. It has scarred her back, chest, her upper arms, and of course her face. I couldn't understand why we had this problem, because we have the perfect diet (I thought). I was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer five years ago and we did a drastic change of diet, as in extreme healthy. Also, there is no history of skin disorders on either side of the family. The skin problems, however, persisted. Four months ago I started making kefir with kefir grains that I bought on the internet... if you google you will find several suppliers. Also some people will send them for free. I happened to start taking Udo's oil and fish oil at the same time. It was a coincidence. My skin was clear within three weeks. My daughter had just finished a course of antibiotics for her skin (very much against my wishes as I think that in most cases antibiotics are a waste of time and dangerous to boot), and was clamouring for the roaccutane. I had to persuade her to use the kefir and flax oil/fish oil combination. She's used to me trying out all sorts of combinations over the years.
Finally she gave in and within three weeks (NOT kidding here, it happened so fast, just like for me) she was clear. We drink the kefir and take the oils at the same time.
I looked up 'Kefir Flax oil' in google and came up with Dr. Johanna Budwig, who was a German scientist who claimed to cure cancer with a flaxseed/quark (kefir, cottage cheese...) combination. It sounds far-fetched but actually she was nominated for a noble prize six times. Alot of info on good fats/oils was discovered by her.
On top of clearing our skin beautifully (no lumps, bumps, irritations of any kind... we have great energy.
This has worked for us and I wanted to share it.
Caucasian Kefir cultured milk instructions:

(18/24 hrs fermented Kefir Culture Milk).

i tried proactiv and had horrible results.
i use a tea tree soap bar.
followed by a mosturizing cleanser ( not an acne medicated one)
i found that products filled with chemicals dont work for me.
some skin reacts better to natural products.
best of luck!
Dab a drop of Body Shop tea tree oil on your spots - it helps them heal much quicker and stops reinfection.
