Good (safe) way to treat acne during pregnancy?

I NEVER break out! Until I got pregnant......I have heard that some acne mediactions can be harmful to the baby when absorbed into the skin. I am looking for some safe and effective ways to dealing with pesky pimples. Thanks in advance!Good (safe) way to treat acne during pregnancy?
i had the same problem and i asked my ob he said that benzoyl peroxide was fine and most stuff over the counter but i would still double check with your ob/gyn to make sure, i use tinted Clearasil with Benz peroxide but double check with your mdGood (safe) way to treat acne during pregnancy?
My doctor gave me clindamycin it work wonders. It's generic for Cleocin-T. So ask your doctor because I love it my zits are gone in like two day but it also reduces how many you get. My doctor also said salylic acid was ok but every doctor has their own opinion about it.
I am using a tea tree oil blemish stick. Mine is desert essence. I am having the same acne problem though.... DO NOT USE SALYCIDIC ACID! (this is bad for the baby). I have heard that you can use benzoyl peroxide, but I am not sure.
I heard that it is retinol that you have to be careful with, not salylic acid. I've read on a number of sites that proactive is safe, but again, it is all heresy. I've read enough about it that I've felt comfortable using it. A bunch of people online have reported that they used it through their pregnancies and it had absolutely no affect on their baby. They also reported that their doctor said it was safe. If you are concerned, check with your doctor. I have heard tea tree oil is safe too. Just be careful with Retinol. Good luck!
