How can I treat moderate acne with over the counter products?

I'm nineteen years old and I'm going through a really tough acne time. I never had a problem with it when I was younger but now I just can't get passed it. It's moderate. It's mostly on the right side of my face.

I started using Neutrogena Acne Stress Control with Salicylic Acid. I used it for about 2 weeks and it didn't work, if anything it made me break out more.

So today, I went out to the drugstore and bought Oxy Maximum Strength Acne Wash with 10% Benzoyl Peroxide. Makes sense since Benzoyl dries up current acne and kills the bacteria. The thing that I'm worried about is if it will dry out my skin, and I have a feeling it will. I know it says to reduce the usage of it if it does. I wash my face twice a day; once in the morning and then once at night, sometimes more if I'm wearing makeup. If it does irritate my skin should I just wash it once a day? Or fill in my morning wash with a less potent product, like Neutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask that has 3.5% Benzoyl? How can I treat moderate acne with over the counter products?
Acne and pimples is one of the most distressing and depressing problem. Soak cotton wool in mint juice, and apply every day. Mix cinnamon powder with lime juice to make a fine paste, Apply on the spots and wash when dry .Check out http://useinfo-acne.blogspot.com/ for more useful info. How can I treat moderate acne with over the counter products?
Lime juice, tomato slices, home made packs can be used for treating acne. You can find more cheap, effective and natural home remedies for pimples at http://arzi.org
your on the right track. All three of my kids have relatively severe acne. You might want to consider a dermatologist. That was the only thing (and some heavy duty drugs) that would help one of my kids. You should use the Neut. for at least a month. Many times these meds will bring up the acne that's under your skin, so you break out worse, but there's nothing left under the skin. Use a good moisturizer cream (not lotion) at night to counteract dryness. Use both acne products if you can tolerate them. It does take a while to clear things up. Oh, and yes, if your skin gets too irritated, cut back on strengths or frequency of use.
