What is the best way to treat acne?

I just got my first pimple today, and I am really worried... I heard that you can get the acne scar for life if you don't be careful. So if anyone can tell me what is the best way to get rid of and prevent acne? I heard about Proactive on the TV, and these others, but do they work? What is the best way to treat acne?
I have been to many dermatoligists and almost all of them say to wash your face every morning and night with mild soap like Dove. The harsh cleansers that you can buy at the grocery store will just strip your skin of its natural, healthy oils. Pro-Active was on my list of things I have tried as well. It is much too expensive and it stopped working after 2 months. Honestly, ance is just a part of growing up! I am 22 now and rarely, if ever, do i have a breakout. Just plan on always taking care of your skin. Get enough sleep, wash your face daily-just not too much, drink lots of fluids, don't pick at acne when it appears, and wear a sun-screen based mosturizer everyday and you will be fine! But always know, if it gets worse as you get older there are many anti-bacterial antibiotics you can take (Tri-Cyclene, Minocyclene) Also there are topical treatments such as Differen.

Good Luck! What is the best way to treat acne?
Well first of all dont touch it and make sure not to pop it no matter how tempted you might be. I wouldn't recommend you use proactiv unless you have severe acne. I have been using clean and clear for years and am beyond satisfied with its results. Make sure to drink plenty of water and avoid touching your face as much as possible. Your hands may be dirty and touching your face with all those germs could clog your pores.
Clearasil Doesn't Work

Clean %26amp; Clear Doesn't Work

Freederm Doesn't Work

All Of These Contain Harsh Chemicals On Your Skin Which Makes Your Skin Dry And Itchy And Often More Acne Prone

I Suggest You Take A Trip To The Doctor And Ask For...

...Duac Benzoyl Peroxide...

Loads Of Doctors, Nurses And Dermatologists Have Recomended Benzyoyl Peroxide On Spots.

Just Dab A Bit On Your Finger And Spread On Each Spot .

Only Once A Night Though, Never In The Morning.

It Works, But Never Stop Using It...!!
