u know i bought this cream from sally's called acne one spot and it actually worked.Whats the best way to treat acne?
Go to a dermatologist, and do what he prescribes. The stuff you get at Wal Mart only helps with mild acne, and doesn't always help those dark spots you get from acne, or black heads. It can also really irritate you skin or leave it super oily.
Many people get discouraged going to any kinds of doctor for anything because of one bad experience, but really, the best thing you can do for yourself is see a dermatologist, try what he says, tell him if it's not working, and if he doesn't listen, go to another dermatologist. There are bad doctors and good, doctors, but doctors are the ones with the authority to prescribe good medicine.
Also, don't be afraid to ask a lot of questions. I was really glad to get my acne cured by my dermo, but I thought I'd be stuck with oily skin just because that's how my skin was and always has been, and it seemed like to petty a problem to mention to him, but I did anyways, and he prescribed a cream that treats the oiliness all day without irritation.
First of all, you have to have a stable diet.
In your diet, you must drink plenty of water a day, eat fruits, and stop junk food.
Some foods might cause you to breakout, milk does for me, and chocolate...
Yes, i know people say that food is not related to acne, but some people get acne, by eating certain foods.
to treat acne, you need to scrub your face once a week, so that the dead skin cells are removed, however if you have lots of breakouts don't scrub your face too much or it'll get irritated.
After cleaning your face, use a lotion to keep your skin moisturized, and if acne marks show up, just buy '; Prefer-On';, at your local pharmacy.
Hope this helped.

Use the Oxy-10 face wash that has 10% benzoyl peroxide. I prefer the ';Chill Factor'; kind that makes your face feel cool and refreshed...
The thing is, you should NOT use regular soap on your face, not even just before applying acne meds. It may sound odd, but regular soap harms more than helps. Use face wash that has triclosan, benzoyl peroxide, or an astringent. Also, it is key to wash your face SEVERAL times a day. The pores are clogged for a much less time that way...Even on school days, take face wash with you and wash your face during lunch.
Anyway, there are several good products, but the Oxy Face Wash works really well.
I tried a number of OTC products, none of which worked. I went to a dermatologist and she put me on a combination of oral antibiotics and Retin-A Micro topically. I wash my face morning and night with Cetaphil cleanser and apply the Retin-A at night. The Retin-A is very drying so you need to use an oil free moisturizer in the winter (or if you live in a dry climate). I personally like Cetaphil's products and use their moisturizer as well. It took some time but now with the exception of an occasional pimple my skin is totally clear. Good Luck!
my dermatoligst put me on spirolactone and she has me to wash my face 2 times a day in cerve/va you can find this at walgreens and she precribed me retin-a micro its a little expensive but i was desperate. i seen major results in 2 weeks this can dry your skin out so you have to keep a derm approved moisteriser on for sure i had sistic acne and it was very painful and my whole forehead and cheeks were covered but now is all clear it took about 2 months all together good luck
wash your face a lot. keep it clean. If you sweat or something, wash your face right after. Eat healthy food. That helps prevent acne. If you're a girl, try to not use as much makeup--buy some light foundation and mix it with some face lotion. Keep your hair out of your face and don't touch your face a lot
I tried Proactiv and Clean and Clear and neither of them worked for me. Then I tried Skin ID and it works really good for me. Just look it up online and take the test thing and it will tell you your 'Skin ID'. However it is pretty drying which sucks b/c it is winter. You just have to keep trying stuff until you find one that works for you. Good luck, acne sucks arghhh! ;)
pop the zit when it is ready ( do this before sleeping) get all the pus and blood out. then put toothpaste on it when all that stuff is gone. when u wake up wash the toothpaste off. it should be still there, but way lighter and within a week or two it will be gone.
I am not trying to be funny. Seriously, I have a remedy that I have prescribed to others and each ';patient'; has been satisfied. Urinate in the water when you bathe. The urine will clear up the acne. Trust me.
Yes, the best thing you can use, trust me on this, is a product called Villantae. Google it.
It's the best thing besides accutane but no side effects. The only thing is that it's a bit expensive.
Lots of hot water, soap, and various cleansors and facial mask. I used them and got rid of my acne in a about a week.
This might sound weird but what helped me was changing my bed sheets. Make sure you clean your sheets at least once a week. Think about when you sleep, your leaving all the oils and dirt on your sheets.
this is just apart of adolescence, drink plenty of water, never sleep with make-up on, try Clearasil, and just relax, it will get better..smile
Use hot water to your face and always drink Vitamin A and E. Don't eat dairies because they will mak your face oily. Dirt does not cause acne. All people who has acne has lower vitamin A and E.
Some girls go on the pill to stop acne.
Now if you are a boy then don't know what you could do.
I use neutrogena acne wash
