How do you treat acne?

My 14 year old has really bad acne. We have thought about using proactiv. He used some other product, but he said it did not do much and made it worse. The doctor gave him antibiotic and an abrasive cream. That seemed to help a little bit.

Has anyone tried any products and did it work for you? What product (like proactiv) and does it do what is says it will? How do you treat acne?
well i've had acne since i was 13 (i am now 19) and i tried everything. the only thing that worked for me was last year i started seeing a dermatologist. they can provide him with medications that really work. even better pills that help fight it on the inside. its the only thing that worked for me. fight it while he's still young. it sucks being a teen with acne. wish i started going sooner! How do you treat acne?
Usually a course of antibiotics, e.g. Tetracycline, helps. Continue to see the doctor or dermatologist.
Stop using antibiotic, because acne will leave a mark and recover. I am sure you wont want have dark marks on your face. It will come in this age for everyone who is sensitive.

I prefer you to avoid oily foods and sweet things. Drink as much as water you can. Because water will clean all the waste beneath your skin. In this way you can make it less and make your face smooth Remember to avoid makeups and high wind to blow on your face as these may increase bacterial growth faster.
tell him to take doxy one tablet till it controlled .......... under the guidence of ur

clinical specialist..............
i've used a lot of things for acne and right now i'm using clear pores . it works really great .. the best . i just don't like how it's only available online.

i've heard really good things about arbonne, which is an all natural company and all you have to do is find a representative or buy it on ebay . good luck and i applaud you for trying to help your son .. acne isn't fun, support makes it a little easier .
buy some face washes to cleanse his skin and try Oxy 10 that works well but if you use it too often you become immune to it ( well that happened to me). if all else fails try proactive becuse ive heard that works a trat

good luck (:
i wouldnt recommend proactive bcuz if he stops using it, he will breakout more. maybe clearpores?
