Most commercial toothpastes contain sodium laurel sulfate which is in bar soaps and is a harsh detergent that produces lather. Perhaps this is why it is recommended. Read, read, read about natural oils that can work. They're out there! Report Abuse

not really totally but i think small pimples will be gone if you use toothpaste. anw i use to have acne problem and i tried toothpaste and it doesn't really work. but if you have acne, i suggest you go to a dermatologist they will give you some sort of pills, cleanser and creams and believe me my skin is now acne free and it glows !!!
u could use it, but it only works on some people.

try a good spot gel instead. neutrogena acne eliminating spot gel treatment or clean and clear persa gel-10.

but i would say give that toothpaste a try for a about a week and see how that works for u, if not try something else!

good luck!
